Today we’re one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive ophthalmology practices with more than 45 eye care centers in Arizona and New Mexico - including 24 ambulatory surgical centers. 

As the Senior Financial Analyst-Compensation, you will be responsible for owning and improving existing process as well as the creation of new ones.  You will assist in the further refinement of our current reporting packages and variance analyses.  The Sr. Financial Analyst will be pivotal in allowing AVP to better understand how key drivers impact our productivity metrics, product mix variances, OpEx spend, Capex and overall profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of the multi-unit AOPs and forecasting models
  • Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and to assist with various ad hoc projects as needed
  • Assist in variance and ad-hoc analyses by extracting key information from large data sets
  • Ensure clean, consistent, and timely cadences are maintained
  • Assist in preparing analysis, commentary and presentation material for monthly business review meetings

  • Assist in the development of financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for acquisitions, new product development, long-term contracts and other ad-hoc financial projects
  • Provide insightful analyses to business partners by tracking, summarizing, and reporting on existing and yet to be developed KPIs
  • Drive continuous improvement by always looking for best practices and automation's of desk procedures
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross functional teams (Operations, IT, Accounting, Business Development, etc.)
  • All other projects or tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years of related FP&A experience with proven track record of success in balancing immediate needs and strategic initiatives and goals
  • Strong aptitude for analytics, financial modeling, and reporting skills required
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high pressure, and rapidly changing environment
  • Proven ability to work with cross functional teams, dive deep into the details, and ask the right questions
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Products
  • Enterprise systems experience a bonus: GP, Management Reporter, SSRS, NextGen
  • Query language experience such as SQL a plus
  • Healthcare experience particularly on the payee side preferred
