Biomedical Services Coordinator

The Biomedical Services Coordinator’s primary role will be to assist with coordinating service/repair for received Biomed support tickets as well providing updates to the field teams.  Duties include dispatching service vendors, locating parts, and offering replacement suggestions if current units cannot be repaired.  BioMed Services Coordinators also work closely with the Purchasing team to submit requisitions for new Biomedical equipment.

  • Oversight and coordination of all service related work orders for AVP Biomedical equipment.
  • Communication with service vendors and related service providers to ensure AVP equipment is properly functioning.
  • Developing channels of communication with Clinic and ASC staff to ensure equipment needs are being clearly communicated and addressed.
  • Communication of existing work order status with AVP Clinics/ASC staff.
  • Oversight of annual inspections for all AVP equipment by third party vendors.
  • Cross functional support of other AVP Corporate Services departments.
  • Encourage a team-oriented environment supporting the AVP Mission and Core Values.
  • Participate in on-going training and continuous education.
  • Show respect and deal appropriately with co-workers, patients and visitors.


  • BA/BS preferred. High-school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs related to medical equipment in similar industry
  • Experience maintaining third party vendors.
  • 3-5 years customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Biomedical equipment and service standards not required but preferred.
  • Strong written verbal and communication skills.
  • Moderate to advanced Microsoft excel/applications knowledge.
  • Attentiveness to detail.
  • Organizational and analytical skills.
  • Local travel up to 25%.
  • Prior Ophthalmology experience beneficial.
