FP&A Manager, Field Operations- Tempe, AZ

The FP&A Manager, Field Operations partners directly with field operations leadership, compiles and analyzes financial information at the region and site level.  Develops integrated revenue and expense analyses, projections, reports and presentations to assist partners visibility into financial and operational performance.  Evaluates data, prepares forecast and analyzes trends in regions and sites and presents findings to management.  Performs financial forecasting and development of pro forma modeling.  Utilizes data mining techniques to perform various modeling and analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Field Operations leadership and become subject matter expert relating to site and region financial performance
  • Drive continuous improvement by always looking for best practices and automations of desk procedures
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross functional teams (Operations, IT, Accounting, Business Development, etc.)
  • Assist in the development of the multi-unit AOPs and forecasting models at the site and region levels
  • Work with Field Operations leadership to develop operational metrics that provide actionable results
  • Oversee the financial planning and analysis process at the site and region level to provide value-added insight into the business
  • Drive an efficient, effective and comprehensive process for developing financial plans and analysis that links to strategic objectives
  • Assist in the development of Pro Forma P&L’s to support De Novo, Expansion, Consolidations and Relocation projects
  • Provide financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for acquisitions, new product development, long-term contracts and other ad-hoc financial projects.
  • Assist in preparing analysis, commentary and presentation material for monthly business review meetings
  • Construct ad-hoc financial analysis for key existing or new business initiatives
  • Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and to assist with various ad hoc projects as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement by always looking for best practices and automations of desk procedures

Qualifications:

  • BA degree required preferably in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 8-10 years’ experience in the field or a related area. MBA or CPA/CMA preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, data warehousing (SQL), data mining, business intelligence (Power BI), and other financial systems (Microsoft Great Plains)
  • Ability to assimilate disparate systems to collect data in order to perform financial analysis
  • Demonstrates understanding of the business operations
  • Strong aptitude for analytics, financial modeling, and reporting skills required
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high pressure, and rapidly changing environment
  • Proven ability to work with cross functional teams, dive deep into the details, and ask the right questions
